ABOUT
Ridge Park is an amalgamation of the old "Rand Postals Bowling Club" which was situated in Springfield and the "Commercial Tennis Club" near Hector Norris Park.
In 1952, shortly after World War II, the two clubs bought the ground in Towerby, made the move in 1958, amalgamated and changed the club's name to "Ridge Park Sports Club".
In 2019, Alberton businessman, Peter Muller bought the club from it's members. The club was going through tough times and no option but to "close it's doors".
"It would have been a shame to let that happen", say's Peter, " as it not only boasts well-manicured bowling greens, but also tennis courts and a beautiful old clubhouse that has been declared a heritage site. There is just so much history to be found here, I could not let it go".
Whilst the bowling greens and tennis courts attracted the sports enthusiasts, the "Jock Davidson Tavern" most certainly formed the heart and soul of the clubhouse. Peter has every intention to keep the feel and ambience of this pub, in where you will find many replicas that sailors brought back home after the war that ended in the late 1940's.

The "JOCK DAVIDSON TAVERN" most certainly forms the heart and soul of the clubhouse. With history and character, this facility has the ambience for you to enjoy a good meal and drinks with tv's to enjoy watching your sport.
TENTED GARDEN FACILITY
A very comfortable outdoor area for you to not only enjoy the sunshine; but a hearty meal and drinks. The weekend offers live music in the afternoons for you to enjoy and even dance.
Very popular for birthday parties where the kiddies have fun, parents can relax, and food platters available to suit the occasion.
KIDDIES ENTERTAINMENT
Children have a jungle gym, super slides, trampoline, jumping castle and a water slide in summer to entertain themselves to their hearts content.

uSisi Omkhulu is a community based project that aids in encouraging community life by assisting to create a healthy, self-sustainable community.
This project provides individuals with sewing skills to produce completed articles of a high enough quality to sell or swap, as well as the ability to conduct basic repairs and maintenance on sewing machines for others within and around the neighborhood.
